Octagonal tin with Dutch folk pattern
Vintape lidded cookie tin with staphorster stipwerk. Staphorster stip work is part of the Dutch Staphorster costume. With the help of stamps, figures are printed on the fabric. A stamp can consist of needles, the thinnest of which is 0.1 mm. Furthermore, nails are also used to shape a figure. Some stamps consist of 300 needles.
The paint is now a water-based polyurethane paint (PU paint), which used to be based on linseed oil. The use of color is important, with a limited number of colors being used. There is talk of the Staphorster color experience. The colors used are blue, red, green, white, yellow and purple.
